Our Story
Pee-Pa’s Garage Craft Brewery started with a simple idea—and a lifetime of passion.
After nearly 40 years in the automotive industry as the owner of North St. Pete Collision, Jim Brown began thinking about what came next. While working on his barn in Georgia, building out his own man cave and home brew hangout, he had a realization: “Why should I have all the fun?” That moment sparked the idea that would soon become Pee-Pa’s Garage.
With deep roots in the Pinellas Park community, Jim had spent decades watching the area grow—from open lots to thriving businesses, blending its blue-collar foundation with a vibrant food and arts scene.
As his own family began to grow and evolve, so did his vision. His son Andrew discovered a passion for brewing, while his daughter Ashley found her creativity in industrial and metal art.
Jim began asking himself an important question: how could he create something that supports his family, gives back to the community, and brings people together?
The answer was to combine it all—cars, creativity, craft beer, and family—into one unique space.
With the support of his wife and the backing of his family, Jim made the bold decision to transform North St. Pete Collision into what is now Pee-Pa’s Garage Craft Brewery—a place where his life’s work, passions, and family come together under one roof.
Today, Pee-Pa’s Garage is more than just a brewery. It’s a gathering place built on hard work, creativity, and community—where you’ll find great beer, good food, and even better company.

Jim Brown
Owner, Founder
Jim is an entrepreneur at heart. After owning and operating a successful body shop, North St. Pete Collision, Jim envisioned transforming and combining his shop into Pee-Pa's Garage Craft Brewery, bringing together a passion for cars, creativity, and beer.
Andrew Brown
Head Brewer
Andrew Brown is a recent graduate of USFs Brewing Arts Program and brings a modern foundation to Jim's experience. The partnership between Jim & Andrew makes our craft beer what it is... the best in Tampa, St. Pete, and Clearwater!
Ashley Brown
Manager
Ashley is the creative artistic force that brings balance to our brewery. How can you mesh cars, beer, industrial art, and a country vibe. Only with the help and heart of an artist like Ashley.
Madie Brown
Beer Ambassador
Madie Brown is our beer ambassador spreading the word about Pee-Pa's Craft Brewery. She was also a student at USF studying for her masters for orthotics and prosthetics.
